When starting out as an interpreter, it is a fairly straightforward to find work in public service interpreting, however, to supplement your earnings and find regular work as a business interpreter it can prove to be more difficult. This workshop is designed to introduce you to the world of business interpreting, giving you essential hints and tips on how to prepare yourself, where to find work and how to provide a quality service that will help gain you even more opportunities.

This is a live, day long (9:30 – 16:30) facilitator led workshop held in one of the International School of Linguists (ISL) centres across the UK and brings together practising interpreters at different stages in their careers to discuss ways to become business interpreters. This is a great opportunity for you to meet fellow professionals and enhance your skills and knowledge of the subject.

Course Description

To book your place on the workshop, you need only to pay the basic entry price. The cost will cover the attendance on the day and any materials, refreshments and a basic certificate of completion.

You will have the option to upgrade your certificate to Endorsed or Accredited Level 6 for an additional fee if you wish. The work you do at this workshop can be put toward the Level 6 Diploma in Community Interpreting qualification.
