International School of Linguists (ISL) is pleased to announce that the General Manager of ISL, Robert Mynett, will be speaking on behalf of the company at the Language Show in London, November 2018.
The Language Show based at Olympia in London, is Europe’s largest language event and is now running for the 30th year. It is a three-day event that allows those who have a keen interest in the industry to explore the world of languages in a new, exciting way. The event is packed with exhibitors, educational seminars, language taster classes and cultural performances.
Robert will be delivering a practical seminar directed towards language professionals, in particular translators and interpreters, and those who are new to the industry and are keen to start their career in this area.
With his inspiring talk titled: ‘How to start working and earn more as a Translator or Interpreter’, Robert will be answering questions surrounding various areas such as required qualifications, where to find work and what kind of work is available, how popular your language is, and how to generate more opportunities.
Whatever their background, from beginners with a keen interest to advanced linguists looking for new ideas and opportunities, there is something for everyone to get involved with. The show provides those who are interested or involved in the industry a chance to explore new ideas and the world of languages.
General Manager of ISL, Robert Mynett, said: “I am really excited to deliver a talk at the Language Show. It will be a great opportunity to share ideas with other people in the industry, including those who are interested in what being a linguist really involves and importantly, how to start. I am looking forward to introducing beginners to the Language industry and showing them all the great opportunities out there.”
Robert will be speaking on behalf of ISL, a global language service established in 2010, with its headquarters in Leeds. It provides specialised and customised training and testing for Linguists, providing them with nationally recognised qualifications, helping them to prepare for specific assignments and ensure their work maintains a professional standard. ISL’s main focus is about supporting linguists, as well as Language Service Providers (LSP’s) and their clients.
As the Linguist community is a global network, ISL provides online courses that are available 24 hours a day in order to support linguists and ensure they are trained to an impeccable standard. It provides courses such as Culture Awareness Training, Customised Qualifications, and Safety and Compliance Courses.
