f. Finance for Interpreters Workshop (1 Day)

£99.00 inc. VAT

“Extremely useful and practical information which I can follow step by step.”

Many legal cases in the UK involve an element of finance, so it is essential that interpreters working in court have a good working knowledge of finance and how it works, along with the terminology involved. Utilising content taken directly from our Level 6 Diploma in Community Interpreting, this full day workshop provides you with detailed background knowledge of finance in a business setting, types of financial meetings and how these can be used.

Available for bilingual interpreters in all languages, this workshop combines  tutor led sessions, group exercises, professional discussions, homework exercises, research activities and hands-on practise sessions to help you to build your knowledge and skills.

This course is beneficial for interpreters who are interested in adapting their skills to be able to interpret in financial situations or for interpreters who already provide interpreting within court settings and would like to enhance their skills and knowledge on this subject.

This course is only open to individuals who:

  • Already have an interpreting qualification (Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting, Level 4 Certificate in Community Interpreting, Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or an Interpreting Degree)

  • Have more than 100 hours in providing professional interpreting
